The tea leaves are grown in high altitude which means they are large-leaf variety and packed with more antioxidants. The tea cake has a lasting pleasing Earthy fragrance, and when brewed creates an amber colored tea which has a slightly sweet aftertaste and crispness combined with a full-bodied mouthfeel normally associated with high quality Shu Pu-erh teas.
